Iphone- Hardware

We used our iPhones in production for things such as photos for our behind the scenes blog post and reflection post, we also used it to film our behind the scenes video which we edited on iMovie by airdropping the footage from our phones to our laptops ,showing us as a group filming, setting up the set, costume and actors giving an inside look on how the day went and what was involved.

To shoot our title sequences we used the Black Magic 4K mini URSA along side with the vintner tripod to keep the camera steady and shoot from high angles and also used a Lexar pro memory card which was used to hold to footage so we could them later transfer it onto the matchbook for editing/post-production. An example of how we used the camera along side with the tri-pod in our title sequence is when we shot the Close ups of the investigator as he was taking a call, we needed to use the tri-pod to keep a balanced and even shot without it looking shaky and unprofessional, to set it up we twisted the locks on each corner of the tripod unlocking it starting from the bottom and pulled upward, once it was at our desired height we locked it by twisting the locks back to their original position. Once that was done we screwed the handle onto the right hand side of the tripod to then even out the spirit level allowing for a balanced camera, to balance it we adjusted the screw until the bubble ended up in the middle. We then attached the camera to the tripod by sliding it into the tripod plate making it fully secure so it would not fall off, To then create our desired shot we first had to focus in we did this by turning the first wheel on the camera clockwise to then zoom in turn the third wheel clockwise as well , we did this into the investigators eye as this is the most detailed part of the shot so if that is in focus everything else would be , we them zoomed out to our desired shot and began filming the shot keeping the camera completely still and letting the action go by.

Memory card- Hardware
As I mentioned above we used the lexar pro memory card in our camera, this was used during the whole shoot day which was then transferred onto one of the matchbooks in the editing sweet for post-production such as editing, sound and titles. We also used this memory card during our camera workshops where we learned about the camera and tried shooting some footage on which we then transferred also onto a Macbook for our editing workshop .
